Members of our Board of Directors provide leadership and have successfully managed a wide range of functions in Fortune 500 companies. They ensure that the Company is headed in the right direction by monitoring and influencing strategy, maintaining control over the management and providing advice and counsel to directors and key personnel.
Dr. Auguste E. Rimpel, Jr.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Dr. Rimpel has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Institute of Technology, M.S. and B.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a B.A. in Chemistry from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Rimpel has served on a number of public and non-profit boards, including the board of GB Holding, Inc., the Board of the Viskase Companies, a leading worldwide producer of non-edible cellulosic, fibrous and plastic casings for meat and poultry products. In addition, Dr. Rimpel has served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) for thirteen years, Chairman of the Board of the UVI Research and Technology Park for seven years, and is the current Vice Chairman of Caribbean Central American Action, and a member of the Board of McLean Hospital in Belmont Massachusetts, a Harvard Medical School affiliate. Dr. Rimpel is a retired partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers with vast international working experience in more than 40 countries. Earlier in his career, Dr. Rimpel was a research chemical engineer at the Stamford Research Laboratories of the American Cyanamid Company.
Tam Basunia
Independent Board Member
Tam Basunia is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He has been a professional accountant and business advisor for over 30 years, joining Price Waterhouse in London in 1969. Tam became a partner of the firm in 1981 and was instrumental in establishing the firm's presence in the Middle East and later in Russia and Central Europe. In the Middle East, Tam was the Managing Partner for Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Abu Dhabi. In Russia, Tam was the Deputy Senior Partner of the practice from which he retired in December 2005. Tam currently holds a non-executive directorship with CTC Media, a NASDAQ quoted company and Promsvyazbank, one of Russia's largest private banks. He is also the chairman of the Audit Committees for both of these Boards.
Mark Camstra
Board Member, Chief Operating Officer (COO) & Executive Vice President for Global Markets
Mark Camstra is the COO and is responsible for international business development. He is a former Executive of IBM and former Senior Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he specialized in restructuring of large scale enterprises for global IPO. In addition, he has successfully started up practices in Asia Pacific, Latin America, Caribbean and EU/CIS. Mr. Camstra holds a B.A. in Business from Rollins College, earned his M.B.A. from the University of Southern California and a M.A. in International Finance from Johns Hopkins.
Steve Kyker
Board Member and R&D Advisor
Steve Kyker has more than 40 years of experience in the field of rubber and polymer science technology. Steve has managed numerous companies specialized in the development, molding and testing of rubber and elastomer compounds with a wide range of applications in different industries such as aerospace, trucking, automotive and heavy equipment. He served as President of Advanced Polymer Technologies, a company dedicated to consulting and laboratory testing in the field of rubber technology. He holds a B.Sc. Chemistry and Mathematics from Tennessee Wesleyan College and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Inorganic Chemistry from the Ohio State University.
Kami Rahbani
Board Member and Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Kami Rahbani is a former PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consulting partner with extensive management experience and building of high-performance organizations in a variety of industries. Mr. Rahbani’s career with PwC started in 1978 in London before being transferred to the Washington DC office in 1983. He has over 30 years of financial and operational experience at international level and has successfully implemented projects involving technology and organizational development as well as economic development in over 40 countries. |
